Aaron Guzikowski will write the script for “The Wolfman”, the next cab-off-the-rank in Universal’s monster movie relaunch. Universal plans to resurrect most of their classic movie monsters – they released a new ‘Dracula’ this year – and possibly team them up ‘Avengers’-style down the track. (Deadline)
Aaron Sorkin is to adapt Molly Bloom’s memoir, “Molly’s Game” for Sony Pictures. Danny Boyle will direct the movie, with Michael Fassbender looking to star. Bloom was a professional athlete who ended up making a career for herself as the person behind one of the biggest poker games in the world. (Deadline)
Oscar Winner Mark Boal (“Zero Dark Thirty”) will direct the feature film adaptation of the video game “Uncharted”. Considering the film is being envisioned as a swashbuckling adventure in the vein of Indiana Jones, no surprise to hear that “Guardians of the Galaxy” hero Chris Pratt was offered the role of Nathan Drake (but passed).
