Se7en duo reunite for Michael Fassbender assassin thriller

Now this is cool.

David Fincher and Andrew Kevin Walker, the director and writer of ’90s gem “Se7en”, are reuniting for a new hard boiled noir at Netflix titled “The Killer”. Michael Fassbender will star in the pic, a long-in-the-works (it was set up with Paramount over a decade ago) assassin thriller that at one stage had Fincher-fave Brad Pitt circling.

Fassbender “would star as an assassin who begins to psychologically crack as he develops a conscience, even while his clients continue to demand his skills”, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The graphic novel of the same name hails from the pen of Alexis Nolent, under the pen name Matz, and artist Luc Jacamon.

The film is said to be getting it’s ducks lined up fairly quickly, with filming tipped for September.

Fincher’s last flick “Mank”, starring Gary Oldman, and series “Mindhunter”, were also Netflix offerings so no big surprise that the Colorado-born filmmaker opted to go with the streaming platform for this one.
