Sex and the City returning – without Kim Cattrall!

Groan.

Hot on the heels of… well, pick one (how about HBO’s upcoming “True Blood” redo!?)… another small-screen reboot has been announced.

HBO Max are apparently bringing back “Sex And the City”. The limited event series, says The New York Post, will be somewhat of a sequel to the original hit with Sarah Jessica Parker back as Carrie Bradshaw, Cynthia Nixon returning as Miranda Hobbes, and Kristin Davis onboard as Charlotte York.  Who’s missing there...?

Yep, Kim Cattrall as Samantha. She’s not interested.

The “Mannequin” actress has publicly bickered with co-star Parker in recent years, ultimately rejecting an offer to do a third “Sex and the City” movie.  Begs the question : Did they even ask Cattrall back for the reboot or did they just know the answer would be no?

A limited ‘event’ series usually means – if the recent “Twin Peaks” and “Prison Break” returns are anything to go by –  a significantly shorter number of episodes than usual with no guarantee of another season to follow.

Warner Bros dates 3 theatricals for 2023 plus Dune may be back to being a theatrical experience!
