Creator of “Sin City” franchise Frank Miller has finalised a deal with Legendary to turn the graphic novels into a TV series. Word is that a deal is also nearing a close with Robert Rodriguez to work on the show – who co-directed with Miller on the 2005 film.
The duo will also work as executive producers, with Stephen L’Heureux, a producer of the 2014 sequel “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For”, also to producer.
Per Deadline, the deal in place with Legendary guarantees a first season of the show, contingent on setting it up with a network or streaming platform. The deal with Miller also calls for a hard-R animated series for a Sin City prequel based on Miller’s graphic novels.
Miller’s Sin City is a series of neo-noir comics that originally appeared in Dark Horse Presents Fifth Anniversary Special and continued in Dark Horse Presents #51-62 from May 1991-June 1992 under the title of “Sin City”, serialized in 13 parts.
There’s been talk of a “Sin City” TV series for a while now, with news a while back that Glen Mazzara would write and it would be produced by Len Wiseman.
