Been a few weeks since we’ve heard anything about Doctor George’s “Thunderome” follow-up (think this is the last bit we ran – a look at some of the cars in “Mad Max Fury Road”), but resident petrol-head and super-sleuth ‘David’ is back with an all-too-welcome update.
Vehicles
It’s been widely known (but unspoken) that the vehicles for ”Fury Road” were being built at the former Hills Transport warehouse at Birmingham Ave, Villawood in NSW. Kennedy Miller Mitchell is on record as having a lease for that property.
You can check that out for yourself here : http://www.yellowpages.com.au/nsw/villawood/kennedy-miller-mitchell-12671516-listing.html
What’s interesting is that a few satellite photos taken of the warehouse yard over the past year show what appear to be ”Fury Road” vehicles in various states of build. Unfortunately the photos don’t show anything too clearly, but they are interesting to look at nonetheless.
Here are links to the photos of the yard from 3 different dates.

Video Game Update
Speaking of all things “Mad Max”, “God of War II” director Cory Barlog is currently directing the tie-in ”Mad Max : Fury Road” video game for Avalanche Studios (”Just Cause”).

According to his tweets, Barlog is in Sydney as we speak, no doubt to work with Miller on some things.
Here’s some of Barlog’s tweets :
Had a very good day on the project today. We have a long and hard road ahead of us, but the game is going to be so sweeeeeeeet!

The delay of the film (mad Max) was “announced” yesterday. I wish that meant I got more time but alas…no.
