Sonic the Hedgehog scribe on Face/Off remake

A remake of the groundbreaking 1997 actioner “Face/Off” is in the works at Paramount with “Fast and Furious” alum Neal Moritz producing and Oren Uziel (the upcoming “Sonic the Hedgehog”) scripting.

The original film, directed by John Woo, starred John Travolta and Nicolas Cage as an FBI agent and terrorist, also sworn enemies, who assume each other’s physical appearance.

Original “Face/Off” producer David Permut will serve as an executive producer on the new take.

Paramount hasn’t held back lately on rummaging through the vaults, readying remakes or reboots of some of their classics with everything from sequels to “Top Gun”, “Coming to America” and “” on the way in the near future.
