Spider-Man : Into the Spider-Verse sequel sets new directors

Surprise superhero gem “Spider-Man : Into the Spider-Verse” is gearing up for it’s anticipated continuation – and today, we’ve word on who’ll be jockeying the stud.

Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson are all directing. The original co-director Phil Ramsey is executive producing alongside Aditya Sood. The producer’s booth will again be occupied by several heavyweights, including OG producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller – thus ensuring quality control is all up in this thing.

The new film was written by Lord, Miller and “Expendables” writer Dave Callaham.

In a joint statement acquired by Variety, the creatives say : “The crew behind the ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ set such a ridiculously high bar, and we’re humbled to take on the challenge of charting the next chapter in the story of Miles Morales.”

No word on plot yet but betting it again involves the multiverse.

“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” is scheduled to open in theaters on October 7th 2022.
