Stanley Tucci and Chris Cooper Want Your Company

Well, it’s been a while since we heard anything from Robert Redford’s upcoming “The Company You Keep” and if you were wondering what was going on with that film, wonder no more. Screen Daily has the scoop, which they’ve confirmed that both Stanley Tucci (“The Lovely Bones”, “Easy A”) and Chris Cooper (“SeaBiscuit”, “The Town”) have joined the film.

They join a cast that already includes Shia LaBouef, Julie Christie, Susan Sarandon, Richard Jenkins, Nick Nolte and Brit Marling.

The film centers on a former Weather Underground militant (Redford) who goes on the run when his identity is revealed by an ambitious reporter (LaBeouf). Sarandon and Christie play former Weather Underground members who were accomplices in the bank robbery, and Jenkins plays a college professor who is a link to former radicals in hiding.

Tucci will play the reporter’s editor while Cooper plays the brother of Redford’s character who takes his niece under his wing when his brother goes underground to evade the FBI.
