Eddie Murphy will play Godfather of Funk George Clinton in a new biopic.
To be produced by the “Coming 2 America” actor and John Davis and Catherine Davis through their Davis Entertainment banner, the film will go out to writers and studios as soon as the team have tied down rights with the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award winner.
Parliament-Funkadelic leader Clinton is responsible for such memorable tunes as We Got The Funk, Atomic Dog and Stomp.
