“Battlestar Galactica” fans take note : Starting April 20, SyFy will host an all-encompassin three-day marathon of Ronald Moore’s cylonic masterpiece. Settle in for the two-part mini-series, all four seasons of the show (that’s 76 episodes) and the two movies “Razor” and “The Plan”.
For those that want to watch the offering digitally, you’ll just log into SYFY.com or NBC’s OneApp.
The marathon will be hosted by Six herself Tricia Helfer.
If you’re jonesing for some more “Battlestar Galactica”, the official BSG podcast hosted by Helfer and Marc Bernardin, will feature a bonus episode on the 20th, which sees the cast – Edward James Olmos, James Callis, Jamie Bamber, Katee Sackhoff, Michael Trucco, Rekha Sharma, and more – reunite for a reading of the episode ’33’.
While they haven’t started production on it (as far as we know), Peacock have also commissioned a new “Battlestar Galactica” spin-off, which is expected to hit the new platform over the next couple of years. Spearheaded by “Mr. Robot” creator Sam Esmail, the project is said to be set in the same continuity as Moore’s series so there’s a fair chance we’ll be seeing a few familiar faces again – particularly those with quick access to a resurrection ship.
