OMG my entire childhood self just jumped for joy, how’s this for nostalgia! “The Baby-Sitters Club”, aka the best franchise and book series of the 80s/90s, is coming to Netflix with a new series on the way. The original book series was by Ann M. Martin and had such exhilarating titles like “Claudia and the Bad Joke”, and “Karen’s Worst Day”.
The books were developed into a live-action dramedy starting in 1990, and starred Schuyler Fisk, Rachael Leigh Cook, Larisa Oleynik, Bre Blair, Tricia Joe, Zelda Harris, and Stacy Linn Ramsower.
Netflix have stated the series will be a contemporary take on the beloved book series, where the five best friends launch a baby-sitting business that’s big on fun and adventure. The family-friendly adaptation comes from Walden Media and Michael De Luca, who will executive produce.
