Actor Giancarlo Esposito is rumored to be on Marvel’s wish-list to play a mysterious new character in one or several of their Phase 4 film projects.
The Emmy-nominated actor, who in addition to playing Gustavo “Gus” Fring on “Breaking Bad” and prequel “Better Call Saul” recently appeared on an episode of Amazon’s superhero satire “The Boys”, is said to be in the mix to play a character known as ‘The Benefactor’.
According to MCU Cosmic, who have the scoop, Marvel have reportedly been looking for someone to play “a mysterious and nefarious benefactor” in the MCU, with the site suggesting the part might even be that of classic “Spider-Man” villain Norman Osborn.
With Osborn recently revealed as one of the next big villains across the slate of upcoming Marvel films, there’s a fair chance there might be something to this news nugget.
