“Piranha 3-D” set for Summer 2009 release
My buddy Josh Stolberg (“Good Luck Chuck”) has co-written a remake of the classic Joe Dante film “Piranha”. If that ain’t cool enough… Shock Til You Drop reports that the film will be presented in…. 3-D!~

Says the site, “Cue spit-take now. ShockTillYouDrop.com has learned Alexandre Aja’s next horror film, a remake of Joe Dante’s Piranha, is going to be presented in 3-D! Dimension Films has set a release date of July 24, 2009 – which positions it smack-dab in the middle of the summer movie season.
Directed by Aja and co-penned by Josh Stolberg, the plot crunch floating around now goes like this: A tremor causes Arizona’s Lake Havasu floor to open, setting free scores of prehistoric piranhas”
2009 will be the year of the 3-D movie it seems – “Final Destination 4” will also be handing out blue and red glasses for its outing.
