Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange will play Peter Parker’s new mentor in the next “Spider-Man”.
As The Hollywood Reporter reiterates, Having Strange as part of the threequel may help explain the return of Jamie Foxx’s Electro from “Amazing Spider-Man 2”. Cumberbatch is about to begin shooting the “Doctor Strange” sequel, which will explore alternate realities, and some speculate therein lies the cross-section.
“Spider-Man 3”, which will again star Tom Holland, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Tony Revolori and Jacob Batalon, lenses in Atlanta in October.
