The Nun 2 is a go; Grimm scribe onboard

A few days back Peter Safran, producer of all of the “Conjuring” universe films, told EW that a “Nun 2” is inevitable.

Today, word from Deadline that the film is inching ahead with “Luke Cage” and “Grimm” scribe Akela Cooper tapped to script.

Cooper’s other credits include upcoming killer doll movie “M3gan”, which is being produced by James Wan, as well as solid small-screen fare like “Grimm”, “Luke Cage” and “American Horror Story”.

To date, the ”Conjuring” universe has chalked up $1.57 billion at the global box office. ”The Nun” alone is the highest grossing film in the series earning more than $365 million worldwide so its no question that a sequel was in the cards.

The most recent film in the ‘Conjuring’ universe is “The Curse of La Llorona” (aka “Curse of the Weeping Woman”) – read our review of that one here!
