Caffeinated Clint
Disney’s big number for 2012 is “John Carter”, based on Edgar Rice Burrough’s classic sci-fi yarn “John Carter of Mars”, starring Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins, Willem Dafoe, Bryan Cranston and Thomas Haden Church (the “George of the Jungle” villain returns home to Disney; ’bout time!).
In the film, former Confederate captain John Carter (Taylor Kitsch) is transported to Mars (“Barsoom”). There he becomes part of a conflict between the various nations of the planet, whose leaders include Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe) and Princess Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins). Carter takes it upon himself to save Barsoom and its people. Things go boom. People go aaaaah!
