A sequel to John Carpenter’s cult classic “They Live” may be in the works.
The famed filmmaker, out spruiking the new “Halloween”, was asked by Den of Geek how he would approach a modern-day take on the Roddy Piper-starring film.
“Well, I’m not gonna tell you about that, because it might be closer to reality than you think.”
Carpenter added: “The sequel is, well, we’ll see. We’ll just have to see.”
Carpenter had said recently that he was more interested in video games than directing another feature film anytime soon so it’s hard to say how serious the acclaimed director is about ditching semi-retirement for a lens again.
Carpenter executive produced – and composed – the “Halloween” reboot, which opens Friday across the US.
