This Independence Day, Netflix returns to the Upside Down

Netflix won’t be counting to Eleven anytime soon – but like Billy Madison, they will be getting there.

The streamer used the daylight hours of New Years Eve – before the overpriced drinks, hot champagne, taxi queues, hideous-looking home runs, and morning barf (the hideous-looking home run is usually somewhat responsible) took over – to premiere the airdate for the highly-anticipated sequel, “Stranger Things 3” (or the third season of “Stranger Things”, if you will).

“Stranger Things” returns July 4.  Holy crap, that’s a full eighteen months since the last season aired!

There’s quite a few clues as to what we can expect in the new season in the following image – – most notably, Will seems to have noticed Eleven is growing up. Dude, could you be any more obvious!?

New additions Cary Elwes, Maya Hawke and Jake Busey join mainstays Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, David Harbour, Sadie Sink and Winona Ryder for the latest round of lovin-on-the-80s.
