Just a few days after it was announced Will Smith had opted not to reprise his role as Deadshot for James Gunn’s “Suicide Squad” follow-up, THR reports that Idris Elba is in talks to take over the role.
The “Hobbs & Shaw” and “Thor” would join Margot Robbie, who will be reprising her role – as Harley Quinn – from the 2016 original film.
“The Suicide Squad”, a ‘reboot’ of the David Ayer-directed movie, is due to get underway in September in Atlanta. The film is due for release August 6, 2021.
