Tom Atkins teases Night of the Creeps 2!

The legendary Tom Atkins, out pimping his new film “Trick”, says a sequel to one of his Reagan-era classics might be in the works.

Fred Dekker’s “Night of the Creeps”, a bonafide love letter to ’50s sci-fi, despite being produced and pushed out in the late ’80s, introduced us to Atkins’ kick-ass Detective Ray Cameron.

The tin man would return for a sequel, as would the youngsters from the original release.

“I would like to see Detective Ray Cameron become resurrected somehow. And Fred Dekker and I, every time we see each other, we talk about that”, Atkins tells JoBlo. “And he’s determined to do a sequel with the three kids and myself. I mean they’re no longer kids, they’re all in their 50’s, but they’re all still kicking and healthy and looking good. I would love to do that again. I love Detective Ray Cameron.”

The modestly-budgeted 1986 film, which also starred Jason Lively and Steve Marshall , told of a town whose local college is soon overrun by alien creatures thats victims quickly turn into zombies.
