Warner Bros has skedded the live-action “Tom and Jerry” movie.
The film, which will be somewhat of a “Garfield”-like hybrid of toon and human, Zooey Deutch, among others, is rumored to be on the shortlist for its lead role.
The untitled film will release April 16, 2021.
Meanwhile, a new “Sesame Street” movie, featuring Anne Hathaway, will release Jan 15, 2021 via Warners and MGM.
“Portlandia” co-creator Jonathan Krisel is helming the family film, which lenses in June.
Chris Galletta (”Kings of Summer”) wrote the most recent draft of the screenplay, said to be a musical.
