Tom Welling says he’d play Batman

While the net keeps mum on whether we’ll see more “Smallville” nods – or even appearances by its townsfolk – on future Arrowverse crossovers, the show’s former Clark Kent says he’d be up for playing a fellow Justice Leaguer if given the chance.

Tom Welling and the cast of “Smallville” were guests at last years Wizard World in Cleveland where the panel began discussing their favorite DC heroes and villains.

Welling, who played Clark Kent (sans tights) on the ‘WB’ series, definitively answered ‘Batman’.

“Dude, you’d play Batman?” questioned co-star and fellow panelist Michael Rosenbaum, who played Lex Luthor on “Smallville”.

“Why not?”, Welling responded…in spot-on gruff ‘Batman’ voice.

“You should!”, adds Rosenbaum, “You’d be better than Ben Affleck, I think”.

Rosenabum went on to explain that he thinks Affleck did a great job as Batman but would love to see is friend played the Dark Knight.

Okay, it’s all just in good fun (probably), but for sh*ts and giggles, what do you think, folks? Would 41-year-old Welling make for an OK Bruce Wayne?
