Trailer : Star Trek: Discovery

The long-awaited CBS All Access series “Star Trek: Discovery” is nearing, with the first trailer of the upcoming series being released. It’s the first Star Trek in 16 years, and will consist of 15 episodes.

The trailer gives us a first look as Sonequa Martin Green as the first officer of The Discovery, some creepy looking characters and the new-look Klingons. The Discovery comes across an unknown object on the edge of Federation space, leading to a conflict with the Klingons. Not much else of the plot is known, as it’s been kept heavily under wraps until now.

The cast includes Martin-Green, James Frain as Spock’s father, Anthony Rapp, Michelle Yeoh, Jason Isaacs, Terry Serpico, Maulik Pancholy, Rainn Wilson and many more. Good cast and looks like a decent series, but I’m still coming to terms with having no Spock, given it’s before his time.

Following a bunch of delays, the series is finally set to debut this fall.

Check out the first look photos below, as released on the CBS Twitter. Watch the trailer above.

Before Kirk, Spock and the Enterprise there was Discovery. Now, one of the most iconic and influential global franchises returns to television with Star Trek: Discovery this Fall on CBS All Access.
