After he wraps “Top Gun : Maverick”, director Joseph Kosinski will play captain on a cool new sci-fi project called “Spiderhead”.
According to Deadline, the film – set up with Netflix – is set in the near future, when convicts are offered the chance to volunteer as medical subjects in hopes of shortening their sentences. When one prisoner finds himself the test patient for a new pharmaceutical capable of generating feelings of love, he begins questioning the reality of his emotions and sets out to discover the truth.
No word if Tom Cruise, who is reportedly looking for more projects to work with Kosinski on after their effective collobration on the “Top Gun” sequel, will gurney up for the “Spiderhead” lead.
