Troop Beverly Hills sequel on the way?

“We’ll be fine.. we’re from Beverly Hills!”

A sequel to ’80s classic “Troop Beverly Hills” could be in the works.

Remember this one?

Some of the cast and crew of the Shelley Long-starrer reunited thirty-years later to chat to Entertainment Tonight, with actress Betty Thomas confirming that a script exists for a sequel.

“I think we should do it. I actually know that Sony has a script over there,” said Thomas, who played the villainous Velda Plendor in the Jeff Kanew directed laffer.

“They’ve had it for a long time,” Long adds.

The sequel script apparently only leaves room for cameos for Phyllis Nefler and the grown-up Wilderness Girls.

“They’re talking about a new cast,” Long said.

“I actually know that there’s a person going in to pitch it with the idea that I would direct it and that she is going to do the rewrite on it,” Thomas, who transitioned into directing after the film (she helmed “Wayne’s World”!), said. “I’m not supposed to say any of this!”

Oooh, you have us excited, Betty!

The 1989 comedy also starred Craig T.Nelson, Mary Gross, Stephanie Beacham, Audra Lindley, Edd Byrnes, Ami Foster, Kellie Martin and a young Carla Gugino.
