Jean-Claude Van Damme will star in his own action-comedy series for Amazon.
“Jean-Claude Van Johnson” would see the “Kickboxer” star playing a version of himself — a famous actor/martial-arts pro who also happens to be a secret black ops private contractor.
Dave Callaham (“The Expendables”) is writing the script and executive producing alongside Scott Free Television’s Ridley Scott and David Zucker. Peter Atencio will direct the pilot.
Performer Colt Prattes (seen recently in “Rock of Ages”) will play the iconic role of Johnny in the small screen remake of “Dirty Dancing”.
Prattes will play the role made famous by Patrick Swayze in the Wayne Blair directed project, starring opposite Abigail Breslin’s Baby.
Debra Messing is also on the cast list as Marjorie Houseman, Baby’s mother.
