The cast of “Psych” will reunite for a second movie to air on the USA Network late 2019.

James Roday, Dule Hill, Maggie Lawson and the rest of the long-running series’ cast will return for the tentatively titled ”Psych: The Movie 2”. The sequel will have the characters returning to Santa Barbara to help Lassiter (Omundson), the city’s police chief, after he is shot and left for dead. In a Psych-style nod to Hitchcock, Lassiter starts seeing impossible things happening around the clinic where he’s recovering. Shawn and Gus find themselves unwelcome in their old stomping grounds and try to untangle the case without the help of police, their loved ones or the quality sourdough bakeries they’re used to in the Bay Area. What they uncover could change the course of their relationships forever. [More…]

The upcoming “Chucky” TV series will embody the tone of the first two films in the series. Executive producer Nick Antosca says “It’s going to go back to a sort of classic scare.” He adds, “It’s consistent with that mythology, but it’s a whole new story. So you could come into it without knowing anything about the previous stuff and get into it. But it is consistent with all the mythology that has come before, so it is in canon.” Brad Dourif will reprise the title role but at this stage he’s the only returning cast member from the films to get a lead spot in the series. STUDIOCANAL, Nickelodeon and award-winning producer David Heyman today announced a global deal for a brand-new “Paddington” television series for preschoolers. Actor Ben Whishaw will reprise his role as the beloved voice of the title character in the new CG-animated series, which follows the adventures of a younger Paddington. “Paddington” will air on Nickelodeon’s networks worldwide in 2020, while local broadcast partners will be secured in France, Canada, China and Japan.
Fully animated in 3D, the new “Paddington” series sees a younger Paddington writing to Aunt Lucy from Windsor Gardens. Each episode will open and close with Paddington’s letters as he tells Aunt Lucy what he has learned about life through the day’s new exciting adventure. The series will invite a new generation of fans into Paddington’s world full of heart, kindness, slapstick humour, fun and generosity.

“Thor Ragnarok” helmer Taika Waititi recently shot an episode of Disney Plus’s “The Mandalorian” – the live-action “Star Wars” TV series that will feature, among others, fan-fave Boba Fett – and now it’s being revealed he’s also playing a character in it.

Showrunner and executive producer Jon Favreau (“Iron Man”) has posted a behind-the-scenes pic on Instagram of the beloved filmmaker recording his voice for the part of bounty hunter IG-88. The droid character is best known for his appearance in “The Empire Strikes Back” but he didn’t speak in his brief moments on screen.

Waititi, you may recall, also voiced a part in “Thor Ragnarok” – that of amiable Kiwi rock-guy Korg.

“The Mandalorian” is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
