Twister sequel gets a title, release date

Twisters, the sequel to Universal’s big 1996 disaster epic Twister, has been skedded for a July 19, 2024 bow.

The film, which is rumored to fix on the offspring of Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton’s characters from the original (Hunt is said to be reprising her role in the new film), will be directed by Lee Isaac Chung (Minari).

The film will open alongside Transformers : A New Generation.

Mark L. Smith is writing the film, with Indiana Jones legend Frank Marshall producing.
