Uncharted loses director Travis Knight

Travis Knight (“Bumblebee”) is reportedly off the “Uncharted” film as a result of the film being delayed to accommodate star Tom Holland’s schedule on the new “Spider-Man”.

According to Deadline, Sony still intends to move forward with the film – based on the video game of the same name – with a new director and a new release date.  The current draft of the screenplay is by Rafe Judkins and Art Marcum & Matt Holloway.

Holland and Mark Wahlberg, who will play the mentor to Holland’s Nathan Drake, remain attached.

The new “Spider-Man” film is scheduled to shoot in the summer.
