Jordan Peele’s “Us” has released a new trailer during Super Bowl – another horror thriller to anticipate in 2019!

After sending shockwaves across contemporary culture and setting a new standard for provocative, socially-conscious horror films with his directorial debut, Get Out, Academy Award®-winning visionary Jordan Peele returns with another original nightmare that he has written, directed and produced.

Set in present day along the iconic Northern California coastline, Us, from Monkeypaw Productions, stars Oscar® winner Lupita Nyong’o as Adelaide Wilson, a woman returning to her beachside childhood home with her husband, Gabe (Black Panther’s Winston Duke), and their two children (Shahadi Wright Joseph, Evan Alex) for an idyllic summer getaway.

Haunted by an unexplainable and unresolved trauma from her past and compounded by a string of eerie coincidences, Adelaide feels her paranoia elevate to high-alert as she grows increasingly certain that something bad is going to befall her family.

After spending a tense beach day with their friends, the Tylers (Emmy winner Elisabeth Moss, Tim Heidecker, Cali Sheldon, Noelle Sheldon), Adelaide and her family return to their vacation home. When darkness falls, the Wilsons discover the silhouette of four figures holding hands as they stand in the driveway. Us pits an endearing American family against a terrifying and uncanny opponent: doppelgängers of themselves.

Writer and director Peele produces for his Monkeypaw Productions alongside Sean McKittrick, Jason Blum, and Monkeypaw’s Ian Cooper. Us will be released by Universal Pictures on Friday, March 22, 2019.

Last Blood‘s Sylvester Stallone plans Cobra, Tango & Cash relaunches next?

The ‘Rambo’ star is hopeful Kurt Russell will get involved in the latter

With Rocky always up for another round, and John Rambo currently trending on the twittersphere, no surprise to hear Sylvester Stallone is perusing his CV for other classics he can brush off.

While we await word on the tardy “Nighthawks” sequel – c’mon! – Sly teases a possible sequel to ’80s two-hander “Tango & Cash”, and confirms plans for the previously-rumored “Cobra” series.

Stallone, out stumping this week’s “Rambo : Last Blood”, tells Fandango that Robert Rodriguez is responsible for the next incarnation of “Cobra”.

“I’m talking with Robert Rodriguez right now about Cobra, which looks like that could happen… It’s basically his baby now.”

Sly, who collaborated with Rodriguez on the fx-heavy family film “Spy Kids 3D : Game-Over”, suggests that the Austin-based filmmaker has plans only to reboot the 1986 feature for the small screen (likely Rodriguez’s own El Rey Network).

In terms of what other films in his catalog, Stallone would likely to sequelise?

“I would do Tango & Cash in a second. I know, with Kurt [Russell], it’s not about a caper… it’s just us doing our thing.”

Stallone said he’s even spoke to Russell about the idea and while the actor was hesitant, according to the “Rocky” star, he seems somewhat hopeful.

Interestingly, this is more than just a hypothetical proposition. Stallone further revealed that he’s actually talked to Kurt Russell about the notion of a sequel While Russell sounds hesitant, based on

“‘I don’t know, Sly… There we were in our prime and now we’re in our unprime, I dunno.’ So I said, Kurt, ‘I’m telling you, ya gotta go in on this.’ So he said, ‘I’ll talk to you when I get back.'”
