Zooey Deutch (“Vampire Academy”) is joining the Zac Efron-Robert De Niro comedy “Dirty Grandpa” for Lionsgate.
Deadline says “the road trip pic follows uptight Jason (Efron) as he drives to Florida for spring break ahead of his wedding, with his grandfather (De Niro), a foul-mouthed former Army general, in tow. Deutch will play Shadia, an earthy environmental advocate and love interest to Efron’s character.”
Dan Mazer is directing the pic, due August 12, 2016.
