Soul-selling, Slumming it and Stepping right up…. Lots of casting and filmmaker announcements over the last couple of days, and a couple of doozie rumours too, here’s an amalgamation of some…


There will be a Charity Screening of “X-Men: The Last Stand”, in Australia, where all proceeds go to the Bone Marrow Institute – if you visit www.xmenthelaststand.com.au and click on “SEE THE XMEN.” at the bottom of the screen it will open the page with all the details.

MICHELLE WILLIAMS will star as author Charlotte Bronte, author of “Jane Eyre”, in the film “Bronte” from Angela Workman.

In an interview with MTV, GEORGE LUCAS says the script for “Indiana Jones 4” is complete, and that it will hopefully film next year.

Feature film and comic book production company CinemaGraphix Entertainment, and comics publisher Moonstone Books, are so excited about the spectacular art and story in their upcoming graphic novel, “The Night Driver”, they are releasing a 99-cent teaser issue in July, just in time for the San Diego Comic Con. PETER SARSGAARD, LAURA DERN, JOHN C.REILLY and REGINA KING will star in Mike White’s new comedy, “Pencil”, about a woman who transforms herself after the death of her beloved dog.

BILL NIGHY has signed to star in the film version of the play “Easy Virtue”, about a young Englishman who gets married to an American divorcee on the spur of the moment in the South of France and then must return home to face his family. Stephan Elliot directs.

PETER WELLER and BRIDGET MOYNAHAN will play American tourists who become the targets of Lions, whilst lost in the Jungle, in the film “Prey”.

The first TV spot for “Superman Returns” went online today here, as did a 7-minute preview for “X-Men : The Last Stand”, which you can view here.

TIMOTHY OLYPHANT will join AARON ECKHART for “Bill”, an indy about a man whose wife has an affair with a local newscaster, and the deed is broadcast all over the internet.

This is both sad, because I knew him, but…well, it’s equally spooky. GEORGE LUTZ, the man behind the “Amityville” legend, died on Monday, aged 59. It’s said he died of heart disease.

Fangoria has the first details on Australian producer/director DANIEL ARMSTRONG’s new horror film, “The Disturbed”, gearing up for a Melbourne shoot.

KRISTIN DAVIS will join Matthew Broderick and Danny De Vito for the comedy, “Deck the Halls”, about a couple of feuding neighbours.

According to a report on Batman-on-film.com, CHRISTIAN BALE is now championing for his “American Psycho” co-star JOSH LUCAS to get the role of Harvey Dent in the next “Batman” movie.

JOSH HUTCHERSON has signed to play Brendan Fraser’s nephew in the recent announced “Journey 3D”, which starts filming next month in Montreal.

According to the rumour mill, IAN McKELLEN will be reprising his role as Magneto, albeit a younger incarnation of, in the “X-Men” spin-off.

MICHAEL PARE will star in the film adaptation of the video game “Far Cry”, to be directed by Uwe Boll.

Australian actors SIGRID THORNTON, WENDY HUGHES and JEANIE DRYNAN will join the Christopher Lloyd-starring “Wallflowering”, from director Sarah Knight.

KIMBERLY WILLIAMS (“Father of the Bride”), KATE MARA (“24”), JANUARY JONES (“American Pie : The Wedding”) and ANTHONY MACKIE have joined the cast of the football drama “We are…Marshall”.

“Lost” star JORGE GARCIA and “Dracula 2 : Ascenion” star JASON SCOTT LEE are rumoured to be in talks for roles in “Tekken”, based on the video game of the same name.

Former “Wonderfalls” star CAROLINE DHAVERNAS has joined the cast of the crime-thriller “Breach”, from director Billy Ray.
