Walker up for The Fantastic Four?

Move over Orlando Bloom (that’s who Sean Astin had nailed down to play the role when he was under consideration to direct it), looks like there’s a new Johnny Storm in town.

According to a scooper for Latino Review – the same scooper who slipped to the site the Tim Robbins and Michael Chiklis rumours – Paul Walker (ok, well, he’s blonde) is the frontrunner for the role of the fiery "Fantastic Four" youngster.

This is quite interesting. You might remember a year or two back that then- "Fantastic Four" screenwriter Doug Petrie announced his wish-list for the film. And yep, Walker ["2 Fast 2 Furious", "Timeline"] was his first choice for the role of Johnny Storm/The Human Torch. Seems even after the writing/directing reshuffling, Walker’s still a fave.

With his last couple of flicks stiffing at the box office, and word that Vin Diesel might steal back the "Fast and Furious" franchise from his former co-star, "Fantastic Four" would seemingly be a plum role for the Los Angeles based actor.
