“Match Point” and “Watchmen” actor Matthew Goode will play legendary movie producer and studio chief Robert Evans in “The Offer”, Paramount+’s limited event series about the making of “The Godfather”.
Based on Oscar-winning producer Albert S. Ruddy’s experiences of making the iconic 1972 film that Francis Coppola directed and adapted with Mario Puzo from Puzo’s bestselling novel, the series also stars Miles Teller, who plays Ruddy.
Evans, who greenlit the film when he was at Paramount, also produced such films as “Chinatown”, “Marathon Man” and “Urban Cowboy”.
The 10-episode event series is written and executive produced by Nikki Toscano, who also showruns, and creator and Oscar- and Emmy-nominated writer Michael Tolkin.
