And who is The Comedian?
Consider it all official-ised now – “The Hollywood Reporter” has pretty much confirmed all of the casting news on Zack Snyder’s upcoming adaptation of Alan Moore & Dave Gibbon’s “Watchmen”: Patrick Wilson (Nite-Owl), Jackie Earle Haley (Rorschach), Matthew Goode (Adrian Veidt/Ozymandias), Billy Crudup (Dr. Manhattan) and Malin Akerman (Laurie Juspeczyk / The Silk Spectre).
What “THR” has also done is fill in the last piece of the puzzle (well, I don’t think I’d heard it before anyway) – Jeffrey Dean Morgan (“Grey’s Anatomy”, “Supernatural”) will be playing “The Comedian” – who kicks off the “Watchmen” story with a bit of a bang. Despite my doubts about condensing the storyline of “Watchmen” into one film – I’m actually starting to get pretty damn excited about this one!
