We need to talk about the trailer for Deep Blue Sea 3

Well, somehow we’ve reached three “Deep Blue Sea” movies, and you’ve got to wonder if it’s really necessary. But we do know that shark sells, and I don’t care how much the franchise has jumped the shark (sorry not sorry), the third “Deep Blue Sea” has even more shark cliches still to cover.

There’s some genetically modified sharks, which some genius is blaming on climate change, an Aussie who is no doubt a shark expert due to our shark-infested waters, and of course the line that gets everyone killed – “Well, that was close”.

From director John Pogue, comes the killer third instalment of the shark franchise. Starring Tania Raymonde, Nathaniel Buzolic, Emerson Brooks, Bren Foster & Reina Aoi. On Digital 28th July and Blu-ray 25th of August. Shark Week fans, get excited.

Emma Collins, an eminent marine biologist, and her crew have set up a mid-ocean laboratory over a sunken island town in the ocean where they are observing the first known Great White mating area. Unfortunately, the enhanced Bull Sharks that escaped in Deep Blue Sea 2 are also there with their own evolutionary goal: cross-breeding with the bigger, faster Great Whites. The mission’s patron, Richard Lowell, believes that the Bull Sharks contain the key to intelligence enhancement, which he secretly intends to sell for big profits. Now, Emma and her crew are trapped on crumbling stilt houses mere feet over the ocean, caught between predators above and below the water.
