Widows film sequel possibly on the way

Acclaimed thriller “Widows” may get a sequel.

Author Lynda La Plante appeared on This Morning (Via Digital Spy) to chat about “Widows’ Revenge”, which revisits the main characters in Rio de Janeiro.

“It’s very deeply about betrayal and revenge, and the need for it,” the writer teased, before later hinting “we hope there’s possibly a movie”.

The 2018 movie, directed by Steve McQueen, and featuring Liam Neeson, Viola Davis, Colin Farrell, Daniel Kaluuya, Carrie Coon and Jon Bernthal was one of the best-reviewed films of the year.
