“Detroit” and “We’re the Millers” star Will Poulter has snagged the lead role in Amazon’s ambitious “Lord of the Rings” mini-series.
The actor, seen more recently in “Black Mirror : Bandersnatch”, joins previously announced cast member Markella Kavenagh in the newest take on J.R Tolkien’s classic.
Both actors roles are being kept under wraps.
It’s believed the series will be set before Tolkien’s “Fellowship of the Ring” – about 1000 years before Aragon was born and just when the Rings of Power came into existence.
JD Payne and Patrick McKay head up the creative crew.
