Former Fresh Prince Will Smith looks set to star in upcoming adventure flick “City that Sailed”, according to THR.
Shawn Levy has signed on to direct the feature, which tells the story of a father and daughter who find themselves trapped on Manhattan Island when it breaks off and floats into the Atlantic Ocean.
The project will see Levy return to Fox after the hilariously successful “The Internship”; Smith and James Lassiter will also produce via their company Overbrook Entertainment.
Word on the street is that Smith has been linked to “City that Sailed” for several years, and given his performances in post-apocalyptic smash-hit “I, Robot” and more recently (but also far less successfully) “After Earth”, it’s possible that this could be another blockbuster of epic proportions about a world in chaos.
