The long-talked about “Willow” sequel series is officially underway, with writer Jon Kasdan tweeting that the “office is open”, alongside a picture of a cap with the pint-sized character on it.

The director of the 1988 film, Ron Howard, talked about the series becoming a thing, with Kasdan’s pitch on the series being “an inspired take on it and it could be really, really cool.”
It’s expected that star Warwick Davis will return as the titular character, with the actor previously expressing his interest – and let’s face it: he’s irreplaceable as Willow!

The ’88 film also starred Val Kilmer, Jean Marsh, Billy Barty, Joanne Whalley and Kevin Pollak, starred “Return of the Jedi” actor Davis as a dwarf who reluctantly agrees to protect a special infant named Elora Danan from an evil queen. Kilmer played the mercenary swordsman that assists in the mission.
