Wonder Woman 2 has been given a release date

Warner Bros. have announced a release date for the highly anticipated sequel to this year’s “Wonder Woman”, releasing it in theatres December 13th, 2019. The successful superhero flick was released in summer this year, but is changing pace with a near-Christmas release in 2019.

Director of the original film, Patty Jenkins, hasn’t been officially announced yet, but it’s believed that talks are ongoing. Jenkins’ film was highly praised, and no doubt fans would be pleased if she returned for a second helping.

Gal Gadot will return as the protagonist, and we’ll also see her later this year alongside the “Justice League” in the November release. The only other DC films that have release dates at this stage are “Justice League” for November 16 this year and “Aquaman” for December 21, 2018. A handful of other films announced at Comic-Con haven’t been given dates yet – including “Shazam”, “Flashpoint”, “The Batman”, “Batgirl”, “Justice League Dark”, “Green Lantern Corps” and “Suicide Squad 2”.
