X-Men‘s ‘Quicksilver’ joins upcoming Marvel series

“American Horror Story” and “X-Men : Apocalypse” alum Evan Peters has joined the cast of Disney+’s “WandaVision”.

According to Murphy’s Multiverse, Peters would reunite with Marvel on the streamer’s “Avengers” spin-off – but it’s not known whether he’ll be reprising his ‘Quicksilver’ from the “X-Men” films or playing a new, unrelated character.

“WandaVision” is based on the Marvel Comics characters Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch and Vision, played by Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, respectively. The events of the series take place after “Avengers : Endgame” and the tone has been likened to a mesh of the classic sitcom and comedy-adventure series. Teyonah Parris, Kat Dennings, Randall Park, and Kathryn Hahn also star.  Filming began in Atlanta, Georgia in November 2019. In March 2020, production was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
