The new “Bad Boys” film has begun production, with star Will Smith sharing a pic of the scripts on his Instagram.
Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are directing the third film in the “Bad Boys” franchise, which has been titled “Bad Boys for Lif3”. The pic sees the return of Smith and Martin Lawrence, alongside new stars Paola Nunez, Jacob Scipio, Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, and Charles Melton. No word if Gabrielle Union will be returning. Joe Pantoliano is back as Captain Howard.
The official synopsis for the film has been released, reading:
The new installment centres on the Miami PD and its elite AMMO team’s attempt to take down Armando Armas (Scipio), head of a drug cartel. Armando is a cold-blooded killer with a vicious, taunting nature. He is committed to the work of the cartel and is dispatched by his mother to kill Mike (Smith). (Paola) Nunez will take on the role of Rite, the tough and funny criminal psychologist who is the newly appointed head of AMMO and Mike’s former girlfriend- and the one who got away.
It was previously revealed that Hudgens, Ludwig and Melton are playing a highly specialized police unit who help Smith and Lawrence’s characters when a new threat emerges in Miami.
