Zack Snyder’s Dawn of the Dead follow-up finally a go!

Umpteen years after he first floated the idea to Warner Bros, Zack Snyder is reigniting “Army of the Dead” – but this time at Netflix.

The film, which reunites Snyder with the undead (he previously collaborated with a horde of coffin dodgers on Universal’s “Dawn of the Dead” remake), follows a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, where a group of mercenaries take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted.

Joby Harold is writing the film – based on Snyder’s story – with production due to lens later this year, according to Variety.

“Army of the Dead” is the first film for Snyder since “Justice League”, which he was forced to step down from mid-way through production because of a family tragedy.
