Zombie Tidal Wave could be the horror movie of the year! Come see why!

Now this looks funner that a free-for-all at Knotts Berry Farm – and, If I do say myself, just as thrilling and wild a ride.

The “Sharknado” team – predominantly, the always-dependable Anthony C.Ferrante and leading man Ian Ziering (man of many talents and such a terrific on screen persona, especially in these fun genre films) – are back for another proficient profusion of frights and funnies.

Ziering – also in one of the year’s best TV new offerings, the hip and captivating “BH90210” reboot – explained to Altpress that he was able to help conceive this one through his new production pact.. and is rapt his idea stayed in tact.

“Zombie Tidal Wave offered the opportunity to see my original concept through to release, it is incredibly satisfying to be a creator and work in all facets of the process beyond my contributions as an actor,” Ziering said. “Darby (Parker) and I want to continue to curate more projects together in this hands-on manner, and I can’t wait to bring more of my acting and directing peers, and new production partners, along with us.”

What’s refreshing about the movies the trio are making is the sheer fact that they look like they’re having fun and are determined to give audiences a jolly good time too. With horror of late so hellbent on disturbing the bejesus out of us, and pushing the envelope, it’s nice to see some fun-but-not-forlorn style genre pieces start to trickle out again. The “Zombieland” sequel is still a couple of months away, the new “Ghostbusters” a good year away, so “Zombie Tidal Wave” will do just fine. Pour a beer, transfer the slice of pie to the plate and pump the amp up to scare-the-kitty level!
