Aquaman sequel undergoing more changes

Jason Momoa and Patrick Wilson, among others, were in New Zealand mid-June where they shot new scenes for the release.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, sequel to James Wan’s smash hit Aquaman, just came out of its third round of reshoots.

According to the THR, stars Jason Momoa and Patrick Wilson, among others, were in New Zealand mid-June where they shot new scenes for the release.

The reshoots, according to the trade, were the result of poor test screenings with ‘story clarity’ said to be a glowing issue in the pic.

Earlier rounds of reshoots for the film included swapping out Michael Keaton’s Batman for Ben Affleck’s Batman – when the new guard of the studio, James Gunn and Peter Safran, decided they weren’t going to keep the veteran actor as the Dark Knight but rather hang onto Affleck’s incarnation instead. Now, according to the trade, even Affleck has been cut from the film, leaving no Bat cameo.

At $250 million, the project has already cost Warner Bros a considerable amount. The reshoots will push that figure even higher.
