Baywatch redo in the works at Fox

The long-awaited reboot (or remake, as it might be now) of Baywatch is officially in the works at Fox.

Per Deadine, the new take is a co-production between Fremantle and Fox Entertainment with writer Lara Olsen tapped as showrunner. “In it, daring ocean rescues, pristine beaches, and iconic red bathing suits are back, along with a whole new generation of Baywatch lifeguards, who navigate complicated, messy personal lives”.

Olsen executive produces with Baywatch creators Michael Berk, Greg Bonann and Doug Schwartz, says the trade.
