Australian actor Bryan Brown, known for his roles in a vast variety of international and domestic fare, seemingly turned his back on Hollywood productions a few years back. Besides a rare appearance in 2016’s Gods of Egypt, the Sydney-born star of ”Thorn Birds” and Palm Beach hasn’t done a succession of U.S features since his busiest period in the ’80s.
Now the star of such Hollywood hits as Cocktail (1988) and F/X (1986), is joining Top Gun Maverick’s Glen Powell for a new comedy from Easy A director Will Gluck.
The script for is under wraps, says Deadline, but the film will be a R-rated comedy. Michelle Hurd (Star Trek: Picard), Darren Barnet (Gran Turismo) and Hadley Robinson (Moxie) have also boarded the movie.
Daniel RPK has details on another Will Gluck directed picture today, The End of the World, a “Buddy comedy (starring Will Ferrell) about billionaires and end of the world bunkers in New Zealand” that might even be the one and same project.
