Christensen, Hamill, and Portman all returning to Star Wars!?

‘Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in’

Disney

Mark Hamill and Hayden Christensen will return as Luke and Anakin Skywalker in an upcoming new Star Wars movie, while Natalie Portman is said to be open to reprising her Queen Amidala for a new project set in that same galaxy far, far, away.

The news on the former hails from Giant Freakin Robot, who says Hamill and Christensen’s iconic characters ill appear as Force Ghosts in the next female film in the movie series – recently announced as a vehicle fixing on Daisy Ridley’s Rey Skywalker. That movie, , will be set fifteen years after the sequels and see Rey attempting to rebuild the Jedi Order.

Both Hamill and Christensen recently reprised their legendary roles for TV’s “The Mandalorian” and “Obi-Wan Kenobi”, respectively.

Meanwhile, prequels star Natalie Portman tells GQ that she’d be quite happy to slap the buns on her noggin again to reprise Queen Amidala for a new Star Wars project.

Whether or not something is already cooking that will see Portman reprise that role, hard to say, but if not, Disney no doubt will soon be placing a call to the Garden State actor’s agent after this interview.
