Crocodile Dundee II actor is the new Gomez Addams

Yeah, Okay… Luis Guzman has done a lot more films- and better ones at that – than “Croc”.

The stupendous Luis Guzman will play Gomez Adams in the small-screen Wednesday Addams series.

Tim Burton is working on the live-action “Addams Family” series over at Netflix, with Jenna Ortega set to play the title role.

Guzman, who has been in everything from “Crocodile Dundee II” to “Traffic”, “Boogie Nights”, “Journey 2” and “The Do-Over”, inherits the famous threads previously donned by Raul Julia.

Developed by “Smallville” alums Al Gough and Miles Millar, the series is described as “a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.”

“Batman” helmer Burton is making his TV directorial debut on the show.
